Harassment: Harassment of another player is a violation of the Code of Conduct, and will be treated with all seriousness. Continued emails, NG posts, or constantly updated reviews that target a certain player in a negative manner will be considered as constituting harassment. Players who feel they are being harassed must first send a lobby email to the alleged harasser, telling them to cease all forms of communication to them, and public communications solely about them. This email must be CCed to the NG Moderator, so that they are aware of the situation. A copy of any emails that will provide context for the NG Moderator will be requested at that time. The NG Moderator will make the determination as to whether harassment is occurring at that time. If the offending player ignores the request from the harassed player to cease communication, Evernight Administration reserves the right to skip lower forms of sanctions and determine the appropriate penalty.

Firing back: If a player decides to respond to perceived harassment by taking negative action of their own (whether it be via email, reviews, or NG posts), then Evernight Administration will not intervene unless it disrupts the community, causes a violation of another part of the Code of Conduct, or one of the two players involved decides to cut off communication as described above. If the last scenario occurs, the NG Moderator will consider both players as equally liable, and both will be at risk of sanctions if they choose to continue in negative communication towards the other player.

Other violations of the Code of Conduct: If any harassing communications are found to violate any other part of the Code of Conduct, they can be subject to sanctions under those provisions without regard to harassment policy.

Locked Newsgroups: The owner of a locked newsgroup will be held just as responsible as an offending player if harassing incidents occur in that newsgroup and they fail to address it in a timely manner. If complaints come to Evernight Administration regarding a locked newsgroup and it is deemed that action is necessary, the owner will be given a chance to cleanup the newsgroup. If complaints continue to ensue, warnings will be issued and the newsgroup may be deleted. Other sanctions, as outlined below, may also result.

Sanctions: The sanction guidelines for violation of the harassment policy will be as stated on the Community Page under the Administration topic, under the Newsgroups and Offensive Language heading.
